Amber Lynn is another of my favorite classic pornstarlets, with a grace and beauty that has been taking my breath away for years and years. She was born on Sept 3, 1963 under the name Laura Allen. She spent much of her early years in southern California, which lead her to running into Althea Flynt at a club – you know, the wife of Hustler magazine’s Larry Flynt.

She entered into the porn industry proper in 1983, following in the footsteps of her friend Ginger Lynn. You might also remember Porsche Lynn, who made up this trio of pornstarlet Lynns that took the heart and minds of many a man and woman in the 80s.

Amber Lynn has done a little bit of everything in the classic porn industry, although she stayed on the primarily vanilla side of things with the exception of a few very spicy double vag scenes. What can ya say, she loves being stuffed with big cock, and when big cocks weren’t big enough she went for double or nothing.

Her brother, Buck Adams, also joined in the porn industry. However, they didn’t actually confess this fact until the inevitable happened in the close knit classic porn industry, and they were scheduled to do a movie together. That would have been a bit awkward to explain at a family reunion, now wouldn’t it?

She left the porn industry in the latter half of the 80s, although she did still remain active with dancing along with touring Canada with Tracey Adams. Of course, that’s not the end of Amber Lynn’s porn career – she came back in the mid 90s to a majority of lesbian scenes along with packing now enlarged boobies – double Ds, to be exact.. She, like many other porn actresses, had to deal with drug and alcohol abuse, which lead to another retirement at the end of the 90s.

Amber Lynn returned a third time, mostly for the money, which lead to Amber Lynn doing a hell of a lot more extreme classic porn movies than she had ever done before. Some examples included anal sex, interracial sex, and lesbian femdom and bondage. Recently, she’s been popping up around Naughty America in full milf fashion, although she is a lot less active than previous porn stints.

She has been in over 233 porn movies, all of which I will list as soon as I get a chance (bit rushed for time right now!) and still going slowly but surely.

Annette Haven (also known as Nanette Heaven, Annette Funette, and Cheryl Nelson) was born on December 1st, 1954 as Annette Martin in Las Vegas. She grew up in a very conservative Mormon family – when she fell in love with her 20 year old boyfriend, she left home to get married. The marriage only lasted two years because of some very messed up circumstances and domestic violence. During this time, she worked as a nurses aide, was into nude modeling, and a massage parlour.

Once her husband was locked up in a state mental hospital, she went to San Francisco following their divorce. When she was younger, she had learned ballet, which left her toned and lithe body with a fluid grace that was perfect for erotic dancing. As luck would have it, she met Bonnie Holiday and ended up moving in with her and her boyfriend. Bonnie ended up talking her into costaring with her in Lady Freaks (1973) – she only had sex with Bonnie and thoroughly enjoyed herself. She does admit that she was a bit nervous about the camera. Her first hardcore scene with a man came a year later in Deep Tango.

She went back to college to major in video technology in 1974, but found herself back in the adult film industry in 1976. She was very popular for both her looks and her attitude by both the viewers and producers. She very much loved to star in adult films and had constant calls from producers for more and more roles – Annette Haven really was one of the first porn superstars.

Annette Haven is one of the better known classic pornstars in the industry, and while she was very picky about the porn movies that she ended up starring in, that made the ones she did take a part in that much more memorable. She stayed within the realm of respectful porn, being vehelmetly against any films containing violence, facials, or bondage, although she did do some soft bondage and fetish work when she felt it added to the story, or that it wasn’t degrading to women.

Her porn career mostly ended in the late 1980s as fresher starlets came onto the scene, and production values went down. She ended up going back to college once more, this time to study computer programing At one point she did show back up in the 1990s. This was to get back together with her favorite 70s porn costar Jamie Gillis and Kim Wylde for several fetish videos.

She has also appeared in a few mainstream films – Blake Edwards’ 10 and Body Double are a few of the mainstream movies she’s worked with. As far as what she’s doing today, Annette Haven lives with her husband in Mill Valley, California.

Before I keep on waxing poetic about Annie Sprinkle, let me get into her early career. She was born as Elen F. Steinberg in Philadephia, Pennsylvania July 23rd, 1954 (I can’t believe it was that long ago..). She called herself the ‘nice Jewish girl’ from time to time, and whiel she was born in PA she was raised in Los Angeles. She started off in the sex industry by doing what so many teens did in the 60s and 70s – she was rebelling by becomming a prostitute, along with a job as a porn theater cashier. One thing lead to another and she ended up right in the middle of the porn industry.

Her first movie was Teenage Covergirl (or Teenage Deviate in 1974, but sources are sketchy on this part of things), which was released for public consumption in 1973, however, her most well known movie is the one pictured here: Deep Inside Annie Sprinkle. That movie was released in 1981.

She has used this background of sexuality to make a positive impact in her life, becoming the first classic pornstar to get a PHD. She is openly bisexual with her life partner Elizabeth Stephens and describes herself as a Post Porn Modernist. She does a great deal of sex positive things, from workshops to tantric yoga to a great deal of excellent books on sexuality.

It is very rare to see someone so in touch with her own sexuality to be able to help countless others understand their needs and desires, to realize they aren’t dirty or deviant at all…and for that, I have to say that I owe a great debt of gratitude to this wonderful woman that is Dr. Annie Sprinkle.
